Next-Gen Film Capacitors Power EV Charging Infrastructure Boom

Munich, Germany - Leading capacitor manufacturers are reporting 300% year-over-year growth in demand for high-voltage polypropylene film capacitors as global EV charging networks expand.

TDK Electronics recently unveiled its new B25672P* series of DC-Link capacitors specifically designed for 350kW ultra-fast charging stations. These capacitors feature:

• 2000V DC rated voltage
• ESR below 2mΩ
• 125°C operational temperature

"The transition to 800V vehicle architectures demands capacitors with higher energy density and lower losses," said Dr. Hans Weber, TDK's Power Electronics Director. "Our new film technology reduces charging time by 15% compared to previous generations."

Market analysts project the EV charging capacitor market will reach $1.2 billion annually by 2026, with Asia-Pacific accounting for 60% of demand.
